iTalk Alarm Clock understands English

Sure, you can have the MP3 Clock DX if you want a cool alarm clock, but I will have to say that the iTalk from Neutrano is one of the most interesting alarm clocks that I have seen in a while.

After all, how many alarm clocks do you know that allow the user to set the time or alarm with your own voice? Yeah, no more of those stupid buttons that you have to hit simultaneously, and then keep pushing until the right time shows up.

At least, that is what the Press Release tells me. Apparently, the user just says “Hello iTalk”, and tell the digital alarm clock the time. It will understand any voice in English, and you can also ask: “what day is it”? I’m guessing you set that by voice too. The iTalk clock will also understand other commands such as “snooze”.

Granted, I don’t know if I will ever get up if I just say “snooze” for some extra minutes of shut-eye. I wonder if I will learn to say “snooze” in my sleep.

The iTalk needs 3 AAA batteries to power its huge 2 inch numbers. You should be able to get the iTalk from many retail outlets in a few months. That’s about as specific as my source will say, but it will definitely hit Amazon.com in June, with a suggested retail price of $49.99.

disable the touchpad in dell laptop

As we all know that in our Laptops using the touchpad is some about difficult , so many peoples bought an external mouse for them , but somehow the touchpad might get into your way when you type. So the better thing you can do is to disable it altogether or just disable it when an external mouse is attached.

Well lets follow the procedure so that you can disable your touchpad.

How to disable ?

Just Go to the Control Panel. Under the ‘Hardware and Sound’ options, click ‘Mouse’As you can see since you have a Dell laptop, you’ll have a special tab called ‘Dell touchpad’ in the window that pops up. Click on the touchpad picture in the window.Now in the new window it appears like that, “ click ‘Device Select”Now this time you must have to Click on the ‘Disable’ radio button to disable the touchpad completely. If further you want to disable the touchpad of your Dell laptop only when an external device like a mouse is attached, check the last option that says ‘Disable Touchpad/Pointing Stick when external USB mouse is present’.

youngest Indian MTECH from IIT Madras

S Chandrasekar has won a gold medal in Computer Science at IIT Madras. At 17, he is the youngest Indian to have  Masters in Technology with a CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 9.85 on a scale of 10.

How to Check if Someone is Invisible or offline in GTalk

Google has implemented the feature of being invisible in the gmail chat, google talk gadget and  google talk for Iphone , Now if you ever want to know that someone is really offline or has just gone invisible then here is a small trick .

1. Open GTalk and click on person you want to confirm as offline or invisible .
2. Now just type in any message to him/her
3. If GTalk says that " xxx@gmail.com is offline and cannot recieve your messages right now " , then that person is really offline , else that person has gone to invisible mode .

Now if he/she is online but invisible you will get a window like this .So , Next time do not let anyone fool you , rather catch him Invisibly .

Play a Video from a Specific Time Instead of Beginning on YouTube

Ever wish to Play a YouTube video starting from a specific time like  playing a 3m 25s long video at apoint 1m 20s (m = minutes,  s = seconds) ,  you would like to do this to YouTube specially when the video you are watching is very long or you are on a low bandwidth dialup connection well in any such case just follow these steps and start your favorite music video right from the point where you  want it to be .

Simply add #t=numseconds at the end of each URL of Youtube and the play back will start automatically. For example to skip directly to 68th sec of video or 1m 8s of the video , simply append#t=68s or #t=1m8s at the end of the URL and hit enter. The video will start playing from the specified time onwards.
